The
Toppin Library was the working ceramic library of Aubrey Toppin, Norroy
& Ulster King of Arms and for many years a
vice-president of the English Ceramic Circle. After his death it was
given to the ECC by his son, S A J Toppin, also a member of the ECC.
Since
that time, the library has grown by gift and also by the purchase of key
publications and the current issues of ceramic journals. A catalogue of
the books is available to members at ECC meetings and on the Web.
Although this is primarily a reference library, at the request of a
member the Librarian will usually be able to bring a volume to a Circle
meeting a which need not be returned until the subsequent meeting.
